Meet our Compassionate Inquiry Creators and Facilitators:

Dr. Gabor Mate Image

Dr. Gabor Maté:
Retired physician, bestselling author, an internationally renowned speaker and the creator of the Compassionate Inquiry approach to psychotherapy.

Dr. Maté evolved his therapeutic approach over the course of a 20-year personal journey. It emerged as a synthesis of his work with patients in family practice, palliative care, and addiction rehabilitation. He later developed the system further while facilitating integration workshops focused on healing trauma through the use of psychedelics.

Sat Dharam Kaur N.D
Co-creator and CEO of Compassionate Inquiry. She supported Dr. Gabor Maté in structuring the Compassionate Inquiry approach and developing the online training.

She is a naturopathic doctor, teacher and author, who combines naturopathic medicine with Compassionate Inquiry, yoga, breathing practices and meditation to support others in healing and integrating mind, body and spirit. She is a Compassionate Inquiry Founding Facilitator, Compassionate Inquiry Mentor as well as a Compassionate Inquiry Practitioner.

Cristina Bara:

Cristina is a Compassionate Inquiry Facilitator, Circle leader and Practitioner. She is trained in the Neuro Affective Relational Model (NARM), working with complex and developmental trauma.
Cristina gave up a career of 8 years in the tax consultancy field and got interested in trauma work as a way to find wholeness. She started the training in Compassionate Inquiry in January 2019 which opened the doorway to personal and professional transformation.
Now, she supports other people in their own personal journey through online, individual and group sessions. Her work is Polyvagal informed, also providing Safe and Sound protocol interventions.

Pamela Sommer:

Pamela Sommer

Pamela is a Registered Massage Therapist and an EFT International – Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) practitioner. She has a unique approach, blending the art of EFT and Compassionate Inquiry with a strong foundation of bodily awareness.

Pamela lives in Rural Ontario on an off grid homestead with her two home schooled children and husband.
