The purpose of Compassionate Inquiry is to drill down to the stories people tell themselves–to get them to see what story they are telling themselves unconsciously; what those beliefs are, where they came from; and guide them to the possibility of letting go of those stories, or letting go of the hold those stories have on them…

~ Dr. Gabor Maté

For many years, I have had the privilege of accompanying people across the Arab world as they explore the inner experiences that shape their lives. From Dubai to Beirut, Cairo to Amman, a shared pattern has emerged. Individuals are seeking deeper understanding. They want to recognize the origins of their reactions, the roots of their responsibilities and the emotional influences carried through family, culture and history

This interest reflects a wider movement across the region. There is a genuine openness to inner work and a strong desire for emotional clarity. As people reflect on the impact of generational trauma, displacement, rapid social & political change, they gravitate toward approaches that offer insight, presence and cultural sensitivity

Compassionate Inquiry® supports this movement with precision and honesty. Since 2018, I have worked with CI in both private practice and group settings across the Middle East. In every community, I witness a sincere readiness to understand the patterns that shape relationships, decision making and self perception. There is relief and recognition when individuals encounter a framework that respects their pace and honours their lived reality

Dubai serves as a natural hub for this work. It gathers people from across the region into a space where diverse stories meet. With millions across the Middle East and North Africa experiencing stress, anxiety or emotional strain, the need for grounded and culturally attuned pathways to self understanding continues to grow

The Compassionate Inquiry® offerings emerging across the region in 2026 reflect this moment of expansion. They represent the commitment of educators and circle leaders who understand the nuances of our communities and who hold this work with sensitivity and care

Below is an overview of the CI programs taking place across the region in the coming year

Upcoming Programs for the Arab World

We invite you to register your interest for the Compassionate Inquiry® Programs for the Arab World

What People Are Saying

“Just really enjoyed it and learned a lot. Thank you.”
Leila

“Such a gift to connect with like minded individuals who were on different parts of a similar journey. So much to learn from our facilitator, each other, and ourselves.”
Kari

“Insightful, impactful and powerful!! Cristina led our group with grace and compassion!  She is authentic and intimately connects with each member of our group. Thank you Gabor Mate’ for your teachings and sharing your gifts with humanity.”
Denise

“Powerful process that allowed me to connect with my essence whilst being held by benevolent witnesses. This is certainly a programme to do again and again.”
Ade

“I knew this would be powerful and transformative; but I did not expect the depth of connection and sense of safety I would experience with the members of our circle and our amazing facilitator. Every session was so inspiring, deeply authentic and heartwarming.  To go through this healing journey and self-discovery with a group of individuals whose stories and insights are so relatable to all of us was an experience that has forever changed me.

This is a course for people who want to have the best and most organized mental health change agents in the world working with each member. I have gained tremendous insight into myself and how others operate in this world. ”
Stephen

“I have been growing with your help. You gave me some tools I find so useful to uncover my imprinted memories. It is the kind of thing I dreamed of some years ago and it is now accessible to me – I can, in the present moment, distinguish if the emotion I am living is something related with my past. I try to feel the sensations in my body related to any emotion and look at it as possibly a window into my story. I am thankful.”
