Susanna Ahvalo
Description
I support people who want to understand and transform the deeper patterns behind addiction, compulsive behaviours, and emotional suffering. My work is grounded in Compassionate Inquiry®, mindfulness, self-compassion, and trauma-informed practice.
I believe that harmful behaviours are not the problem themselves but intelligent adaptations to pain, unmet needs, and nervous system dysregulation. Rather than focusing on symptoms alone, I help clients explore the underlying beliefs, emotions, and survival strategies that keep them stuck.
Before becoming a practitioner, I spent over 20 years working as an educator and facilitator. My own recovery journey from addiction, together with years of meditation and mindfulness practice, has profoundly shaped both my life and my work. Today I combine professional training with lived experience to create a compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients can reconnect with themselves and move toward lasting change.
I work with adults experiencing addiction, codependency, trauma, shame, anxiety, perfectionism, and other recurring patterns that no longer serve them. I offer sessions online in both Finnish and English.
