Freelance Copywriter & Editor

We seek a talented and creative Copywriter/Editor to join our growing team. As a Copywriter, you will play a crucial role in crafting compelling and engaging content that resonates with our audience of therapists and professionals. Your work will directly promote our programs, increase brand awareness, and drive growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write clear, persuasive, and engaging copy for various channels, including social media, promotional emails, blog posts, video scripts, and ad copy.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content strategies that align with Compassionate Inquiry’s mission and goals.
  • Translate complex program details into accessible and relatable messaging for diverse audiences.
  • Maintain the organization’s serious and professional tone while ensuring content is empathetic and aligned with trauma-informed principles.
  • Proofread and edit content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Research industry trends and audience preferences to inform content creation.
  • Support the team in creating content for multilingual audiences, particularly for Romanian, Spanish, and French-speaking communities, where applicable

Qualifications 

  • Proven experience as a Copywriter, Content Writer, or similar role, ideally in the mental health, wellness, or education sector.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to adapt writing style to fit a serious and professional tone while maintaining empathy and relatability.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies and content creation for various platforms.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed language and therapeutic approaches is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in English; additional language skills (Romanian, Spanish, French, etc.) are highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in marketing, journalism, literature, communications, or related field
  • 2 + years of experience as a copywriter

Work description

Compassionate Inquiry is seeking a Social Media Support and Program Administrator. This role will primarily involve managing social media and marketing efforts for the Portuguese/Brazilian Portuguese team. Additionally, the Program Administrator responsibilities will include assisting the team with administrative tasks, managing emails, and organizing and maintaining the Google Drive.

There will be opportunities for increased responsibilities and tasks as the Portuguese/Brazilian community expands and new programs are introduced.

Qualifications 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English and Portuguese
  • Skilled in using, Instagram, Facebook, Whats App, Canva, Kapwing
  • Skilled in using Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Forms, Excel, and Zoom.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. 
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Organized and efficient.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little direction.
  • Must be fluent reading/writing/speaking in Portuguese
