In this 6-hour session you will:
  • Witness Dr. Gabor Maté, Sat Dharam and CI Facilitators working therapeutically with participants 1:1 using Compassionate Inquiry
  • Connect with other participants in breakout rooms to explore a theme
  • Learn techniques for self-regulation, led by Sat Dharam Kaur ND

About the Compassionate Inquiry process

The process of Compassionate Inquiry invites you to look at the stories you tell yourself unconsciously, and to recognize how these stories direct your life, affect your health, and generate suffering. Once you recognize the beliefs you have been carrying and where they originated, you can question the validity of those beliefs. Once questioned, you can open to the possibility of releasing identification with them, and of the hold they have on you. A new way of being emerges, leading to spontaneity, choice, expansion and freedom.

Anyone above the age of 18 years seeking to heal their trauma, along with healthcare professionals who wish to develop their personal and professional skills.

Meet our Compassionate Inquiry Creators and Facilitators:

Dr. Gabor Mate Image

Dr. Gabor Maté:
Retired physician, bestselling author, an internationally renowned speaker and the creator of the Compassionate Inquiry approach to psychotherapy.

Dr. Maté evolved his therapeutic approach over the course of a 20-year personal journey. It emerged as a synthesis of his work with patients in family practice, palliative care, and addiction rehabilitation. He later developed the system further while facilitating integration workshops focused on healing trauma through the use of psychedelics.

Sat Dharam Kaur N.D
Co-creator and CEO of Compassionate Inquiry. She supported Dr. Gabor Maté in structuring the Compassionate Inquiry approach and developing the online training.

She is a naturopathic doctor, teacher and author, who combines naturopathic medicine with Compassionate Inquiry, yoga, breathing practices and meditation to support others in healing and integrating mind, body and spirit. She is a Compassionate Inquiry Founding FacilitatorCompassionate Inquiry Mentor as well as a Compassionate Inquiry Practitioner.

  • If you participate in the CI Experience on Zoom, please keep your camera on and microphone muted unless asked to unmute. 
  • If your name is picked for a therapeutic 1:1, you will be informed in advance.
  • During the CI experience, you will be invited to choose an intention to explore with Sat Dharam Kaur ND and the CI team of Facilitators
  • The main room session will be recorded and shared with registered participants.
  • Break out rooms will not be recorded.

Refund policy:

This is an experiential event with a limited number of spaces available. Since a space is reserved for you when you register and pay, there are no refunds available for this event. No exceptions.
