Jane Palmer
- Psychotherapist

As a Registered Psychotherapist and Somatic Therapist, I bring together lived experience, clinical training, and decades of work with the body into an integrative, nervous system–based approach to healing. My practice weaves together Compassionate Inquiry, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Experiencing (SE), EMDR, and Iyengar Yoga to support deep, sustainable change.
My own journey with chronic illness transformed how I understand health, revealing that symptoms are not failures, but intelligent adaptations of the nervous system. Through years of study, practice, and mentorship along with the Compassionate Inquiry community founded by Dr. Gabor Maté and Sat Dharam Kaur, I’ve come to trust that true change begins not through force, but through safety, stillness, and the courage to turn inward.
The essence of my work is helping people reconnect with their bodies so they can access the wisdom held within. I work with individuals across the lifespan and am deeply committed to creating a sense of safety that allows emotions to be felt rather than carried by the body. My work also includes supporting athletes, helping them resolve stress patterns, restore regulation, and rebuild trust in themselves and their bodies. In this approach, performance blocks, anxiety, and physical symptoms are not seen as flaws, but as intelligent protective strategies shaped by lived experience.
Through a trauma-informed, somatic lens, I support clients in moving from survival into safety — where authenticity, vitality, and meaningful change can naturally emerge.
