Riitta-Johanna Schäublin
- Somatic Therapist

I’m a UK therapist and accredited Compassionate Inquiry Practitioner with over 20 years’ experience within recovery communities and therapeutic services. My path into this work began through my own journey of addiction and trauma recovery, where I discovered that true healing begins not with fixing, but with presence and compassion.
Training directly in Compassionate Inquiry with Dr Gabor Maté transformed both my personal and professional life. It deepened my capacity to meet clients with authentic curiosity and to listen beyond the story — into the body, emotion, and the wisdom that emerges when we feel safe enough to be real.
For the past five years I’ve led a therapeutic team in a residential setting, providing one-to-one and group therapy for adults navigating trauma, addiction, mental-health challenges, and emotional disconnection. I also offer therapy online across the UK and internationally.
In every encounter, I aim to embody the principles of Compassionate Inquiry: attunement, safety, and deep respect for each person’s pace and truth. My role isn’t to analyse or correct, but to walk alongside — so insight, reconnection, and self-compassion can naturally unfold.
