Susanna Ahvalo
- Mental Health Professional

Through personal and professional experience I know our bodies have a story to tell. In my work with clients I incorporate a variety of creative art mediums and nature. My therapeutic space is in a woodland setting which brings an immediate connection with nature. As an Environmental Arts Therapist I bring some of my therapy sessions out into nature.
I run therapeutic workshops in nature to enable people to explore more deeply their connection to the natural world and its healing potential. I also run creative arts workshops for people who have had significant body image changes due to illness.
The work of Gabor Maté has resonated deeply with me. Working with the Compassionate Inquiry method enables me to help a client to explore what is happening for them in the present moment with the knowledge that trauma is held in our bodies and through this gentle but direct approach a client can access and explore long held belief systems and ways of being in the world.
I work with clients both in person and online.
