Anne spent many years as a teacher and education advisor, with a love of outdoor and environmental education, she moved out of the classroom to explore and integrate a long-time spiritual practice and interest in meditation, embodied presence, and mindfulness. Anne has spent many years living and working in community at Buddhist and Mindfulness retreat centres, co-ordinating and working both at Gaia House, Insight Meditation Centre, and Sharpham House Retreats, in Devon, UK. She completed training at The Karuna Institute on Dartmoor, Devon, in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy and many years ago she also trained in Shiatsu, Holistic Massage, and Anatomy.
As well as being a craniosacral therapist Anne is an Integrative Counsellor having completed training with Heartwood, in Devon. She is also a ‘Mindfulness and Compassion’ teacher having trained with Mindfulness UK.
Her professional development includes introductory training in Somatic experiencing, Internal Family Systems and Core Process Psychotherapy.
All her experience and training, as well as, a personal practice of meditation and qigong underpin and support her work as a counsellor and Therapist.
