For over three decades my work has been in been working with people to foster connection in relationship. This initially began as a career in communications and design as a creative director, but in coming to accept longterm auto-immune disease, I turned my attention increasingly towards yoga, which eventually dismantled how I saw myself and my work. Over time I grew into the role of teacher and healer.
The title I give my work is somatic therapy, and my tools come from many years as a yoga practitioner and teacher, Rolfer and Rolf Movement Practitioner*, craniosacral therapist and coach. My entrance to working with the psyche has been via the body, with Compassionate Inquiry and IFS enhancing the language of therapeutic connection and healing.
While I draw from a variety of ancient and modern modalities, my work is integrated and aligned to meet you, the whole person, where you are.
My interest is in creating a space for wholeness that exists within everyone, with a special curiosity and compassion for chronic illness, auto-immune disease, cancer, adolescence and disordered eating.
*Rolfing is a form of bodywork working to release tension strains in the body and teaching the fundamentals of posture, and functional efficiency of movement. The overall intention is to guide the client’s understanding of how they inhabit their body to create a more efficient, at-ease relationship with one's physical reality in gravity.
