
Nancy Hanlon
Nancy is known for her authenticity, humour, creative thinking and curiosity. Her work and volunteer background in counselling, adventure therapy, experiential learning and dance has given her a depth of experience and nurtures her passion of walking along side individuals in their healing for 22 yrs. She is a registered Social Worker in the provinces of Nova Scotia and Ontario.
Her counselling/therapy philosophy is influenced by living from a place of compassion and in connection to the land, which has been a guide in her own personal healing work and in working with individuals and communities. Nancy’s practice emphasizes supporting individuals, families and community through grief work, inner resiliency through self-discovery, and is trauma informed incorporating Compassion Inquiry, Solution Focused Therapy, CBT, Mindfulness and Body Awareness.
