Nicole Eden is a somatic psychotherapist, counsellor, and Compassionate Inquiry® Practitioner based in York, England, working in person and online with clients internationally. She works with people aged 16 through to later life.
Nicole has spent a lifetime caring for and supporting both people and animals, particularly those who are vulnerable, traumatised, overwhelmed, or misunderstood. Before becoming a therapist, she was an English and Drama teacher and pastoral leader in secondary schools in the UK and Spain. She later founded and ran a multi species animal sanctuary in Spain.
Years spent supporting traumatised animals, alongside working closely with children and teenagers, profoundly shaped her understanding of attachment, survival, hypervigilance, shutdown, emotional wellbeing, and the nervous system. Observing the links between experience, behaviour, coping patterns, and personality in both animals and young people continues to inform her work today.
Her approach is warm, deeply attuned, and grounded in honesty, curiosity, and authentic human connection.
