Michelle PeddleRegistered Psychotherapist, CI Circle Leader
As a Compassionate Inquiry (CI) Practitioner since 2019 and a proud member of the first graduating cohort, I bring valuable personal and professional experience to my role as a CI Circle Leader. As a Registered Psychotherapist with a Doctorate in Counselling & Psychotherapy, I have dedicated nearly 15 years to supporting diverse populations, including First Nations, youth, and marginalized communities. My specializations focus on substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, and complex PTSD, guiding participants on their journeys of personal growth, self-discovery, and reconnection through Compassionate Inquiry.
My commitment to the CI community extends beyond my counselling practice. I’ve played a key role in developing the Internship, Mentorship, and Mentor-In-Training programmes, reflecting my dedication to fostering accessibility and growth within this healing framework. I am passionate about offering Compassionate Inquiry Circles, both in person and virtually, reaching Indigenous communities across Canada, including:
- Haisla Nation (British Columbia)
- Liard Aboriginal Women’s Society (Watson Lake, Yukon)
- MMIWG (Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, Whitehorse, Yukon)
- Shäwthän Näzhì (Healing with the Land Society, Haines Junction, Yukon)
- Fort Chipewyan Métis Nation (Fort Chip, Alberta)
Having recently moved back to Ontario from the Yukon, I’m settling into my new home in Georgian Bay. I love exploring the beautiful trails with my two huskies, Diesel and Luna. The area’s natural beauty inspires me daily and encourages me to embrace a more balanced life outside of academia. Spending time in nature deepens my connection to the land and my Métis roots and Algonquin heritage. Recently, I’ve also taken up birdwatching, which adds a delightful new dimension to my outdoor adventures.
I believe that the journey of ‘Inner Work’ requires radical honesty, profound patience, and an openness to present-moment awareness. Through my work, I aim to empower individuals to embrace their authentic selves, heal past wounds, and cultivate meaningful, lasting change.
